Fine Bowl for Narelle
I've created this piece as a gift of appreciation for one of my valued customers who has purchased my work regularly over the last 5 years or so.
It was born of a small piece of Australian red cedar cut from a slab destined for other work. This, like much of my stockpiled cedar, was from a very old tree. The colour is deep and there is nice grain definition.
Although only a small bowl, I wanted to create a very curvaceous piece in similar style to my larger works ... so, I guess it's almost a miniature.
More images can be seen HERE on the website.
Finally, have a look at the range of fine utensils and homewares that I create at FOREST TREASURES.
