Fine Bowl in Acacia Cedar by Bob Gilmour

HERE is a small bowl form I created last week in Acacia Cedar from the local area.

I had a small piece of wood left over from a run of salad servers which I'd cut from the acacia cedar board. It was a bit small for anything in my utensil range, so I created this small functional/display bowl. Even though it's only a bit over an inch thick, it still embodies the organic flowing shape that I like so much these days.

This is meant to be a display piece, but the finish is food safe and it's shape does lend itself to be used as a functional item if desired.
