Fine Bowl in Australian Red Cedar
This is the first piece that I've actually finished from the red cedar logs that I purchased last year (see Australian Red Cedar).
I only used a small piece as a trial and have a couple more bowls part done. The wood has great colour - even though this was a relatively 'young' tree - probably only 60 to 80 years old. This piece was from one of the un-figured log sections. I have another bowl in progress taken from the highly figured trunk log which I'm hoping to finish soon.
