Fine Bowl in Northern Silky Oak

I salvaged a northern silky oak tree several years ago from a friend's yard in Julatten. They had the tree cut down because it was posing a risk to their home as it grew bigger. During storage, borers have destroyed some of the wood, but I've managed to save quite a bit. This is the first large bowl that I've brought to finish from this stock.
Due to the size of the timber pieces, any bowls that I make from this wood will be long and slim, like this current piece.
