Serving Dish in Silky Oak

I salvaged a number of pieces of silky oak and red oak from a neighbour's yard after they decided the trees were too big ... and too close to their house. Unfortunately, I lost about half the wood to borers, termites and cracking ... although, I have enough left for several small and large bowl forms.
This is a flat elongated form which lends itself to serving cold meats or sashimi. Although the wood is not figured, the typical silky oak grain structure is very attractive. This piece sold quite quickly.
