Two Fine Bowls in Queensland Maple by Bob Gilmour
I made these two small maple bowls from slab stock from a local timber merchant. The wood wasn’t figured at all, but the orientation of the grain is complimentary to the shapes I created. I kept the finish to a low satin, giving these two pieces a very contemporary look and feel.
